I'm almost there!

38 1/2 weeks! Anytime now and we will officially be parents. I told Lincoln today, "we can't give him to his parents when he cries or stinks....he is our responsibility now. So crazy" I don't think it has fully hit me still. This is going to be so crazy being parents. I'm excited but a little nervous as well.
Since I haven't posted in quite some time, this will be a post of picture overdrive :) Enjoy

This last weekend my dad invited us all down for a BBQ. We went shooting, BBQ after, and then played cards till late that night. It was a blast and we had a lot of fun. My grandparents came to Utah so that they would be here when Rupert gets here. It was fun to see and hang out with them all day.
Grandpa Cull, my dad, Jacob, and Lincoln
Look how funny I look shooting with a huge prego belly. My dad sat behind me when I shot so that I wouldn't fall backwards. You can't really lean forward when you have a belly in the way.
Jacob was such a poser when I took pics. So funny!
 Roxy and Grandpa Cull

Vader--he loved being able to run where ever he wanted! As soon as we pulled up and let him out, he ran, peed on a bush, ran some more, marked another bush, and ran some more. If only dogs could talk, Vader would be so funny!
This Dr Seuss blanket was made by my boss's wife. It is made out of minky and is so so soft! Love it!
Wendy and Julie took me on a mani-pedi girls day out! It was definitely needed. Once you can't bend over to paint your own nails, it comes in handy to have someone else do it!
Couple weeks ago Wendy and I threw Julie's bachelorette party. It was western theme and turned out really cute. Here is a pic of the party table we put together. Julie's wedding is this Saturday and yes, I'm a bridesmaid. It will be interesting to see if Rupert arrives after a busy/stand on my feet all day Saturday. Would be cool to give Lincoln a baby for father's day :)
Now on to the fun baby stuff! Here is the bassinet I ordered. I really like how it goes with the rest of the condo. It took me forever to finally decide on one. Most are all fluffy and girly. I found one that will work for either gender even though it is predominately blue and brown.
Here is the swing that Lincoln's aunts got us. I love that it doesn't take up too much space and is portable.
Here is the rocker chair that my mom got us. It is so cute and turns into a toddler chair later on.
Aunt L made me a Dr Suess cover for my Boppy. It turned out so cute!
These pics were taken May 15th and May 29. They are my most recent snap shots besides the pic of me shooting last weekend. I can't believe where I started to where I am now! Crazy how fast you can gain weight haha Oh yeah, and grow a huge belly!
Lincoln got me this custom made necklace for Mother's Day. It has our birthstones on it. Mine is the emerald on the bottom, then Lincoln's is the peridot, and Rupert's is the alexandrite at the top. I love it so much!
This is my diaper bag that we ordered from Potterybarn. It will have RLD on the front :) but it doesn't ship until the 16th. I believe it is worth the wait!
and the Nursery is finally done! Look how cute it turned out! The painting done by Becky turned out fabulous! She did such an amazing job
Looks like I am all update except the baby shower pics. I will post those later...getting tired and ready to put my feet up :)

Fabric Shopping and Nursery Painting

Almost there! This picture was taken at 29 weeks. I am now 31...which means single digets left 9 weeks!! I remember when I was only 9 weeks along. I have had the typical pregnancy side effects still...heartburn, fatigue, mood swings, feeling super chunky, almost can't paint my own toe nails. Those sort of things :) I would like to share an experience I had in case it helps other mommies out there. A few nights ago I woke up to go to the bathroom (usual) and had a super super bad pain in my right side. I could barely roll over. After I went to the bathroom it seemed to feel better. So I went back to bed. The next time I got up to go I had the same pain and it seemed to go away after emptying my bladder. Then I had it again when my bladder got full and relief after going. I called my doc who had me come in so that he could check a few things. I didn't end up having any of the scary things that can happen...like the little bone on your pelvic colapsing which could cause similar if not worse pain. He did let me know that when I sleep on my right side, Rupert's and the uterus weight on the drainage tube from my kidney to bladder gets smashed all night while I'm sleeping and it can cause pain when I go to the bathroom since it wasn't draining properly. The cure...sleep on my left side, use a pillow to prop my hips up, and if I wake up on my right side to switch back to my left. This has helped so much and I haven't had that super bad pain since. As all mom's know, pregnancy really takes a tole on your body and there are multiple things that don't function right :) I guess it is just trial and error to figure out what makes these 40 weeks more comfortable.
Yesterday my mom, Aunt L, Bobbie, Emily and Mia came with me to go fabric shopping for Rupert. We got some really cute fabric and I can't wait for the finished project! Such a fun day and I am thankful for my family that was able to come shopping with me. And thanks Aunt L for your next many hours of sewing time!
The above fabric is for a receiving blanket and burp rag. I was drawn to certain type of fabric/designs and I noticed that they were all the same designer/brand! Riley Blake. I never thought I would have a favorite fabric designer.
The above fabric is all Dr Seuss! The red striped on the left is for a changing pad cover that I asked Aunt Evy to make for me! It is going to look so awesome in his room. The other fabric is cotton so Aunt L is going to make me some bibs out of them. They are going to be soo cute!
This fabric is for a nursing cover.
The Dr Seuss minky is for a bobby cover! The other fabric is for a carseat cover with the lime green minky on the backside. And the jungle animal print is for a receiving blanket and burp rag.
I think we did pretty good fabric shopping!
I put the fabric on the changing pad just to give you an idea of how awesome it is going to look!
Clothes clothes and more clothes! The above pic is pictures of clothes my mom brought me. I am in love with those striped overalls! The bottom pic is clothes that Rachelle got me. Thanks Rachelle! Lincoln is going to love the spongebob outfit :)
The bedding! It is so dang cute. I have two different crib sheets...the other one is cat in the hat.
Check out the awesome Lorax trees. They turned out sooo adorable! Thanks Becky! Once it all dries I will have the crib up next to that wall so that the Lorax is peeking down on him :) His nursery is the best room in the house. I had Becky paint the grass on the wall underneath the window. It turned out perfect.
Thanks to everyone for your help this weekend! Couldn't have all this great stuff without you! And thanks for the fun memories and good times.

Nursery Update

I thought I would share a few photos with you. We have made a lot of progress on the nursery. Dr. Seuss theme. It has turned out so cute! All we have left is to paint the Lorax trees behind the crib.
We do have Dr. Seuss bedding. I just took this picture before it came. You will see it when I post the Lorax trees.
This is at 23 weeks. I'm further along now but don't have updated pics yet.
Below is the travel system that Lincoln's grandma got us. I love it! Can't wait to put him in it and go for walks.
I couldn't resist buying him a matching polo. Lincoln and Rupert will be getting pics in those for sure! And the Jordan outfit will be his coming home outfit. The onesie is too big but he will wear the beanie and booties with probably a red onesie.
Everything is going good. He is moving more and more everyday. Once I got past the nausea it really hasn't been bad at all. I have normal pregnancy side-effects...fatigue, congestion, uncomfortable sleeping, heartburn, etc. Three more months and the little dude will be here!

It's a Boy

Yes, it has been a long while since I have blogged. And I have pretty awesome news! Most of you already know. IT'S A BOY! We are expecting our first little dude on June 21st. We are both really excited and are a bit nervous for this next step in our lives. It is such a HUGE responsibility but we are ready for the challenge :) Oh and did I mention what a miracle it is for a human to grow another human! This has amazed me since day one. And now to have it happen to me is just so aawh inspiring! I love seeing him in all the ultrasounds. He started as a little blob, to a jelly bean, to actually looking like a human. It is so amazing!
He will be named after his daddy and grandpa: Rupert Lincoln Dziuk

The first picture was taken at 12 weeks. The second is a pic of my first maturnity pants at about 15 weeks. They are so much more comfortable then the "rubberband" trick. I am now at 16 weeks...and growing :)

Here are a few things that have been happening since my last post.
Anniversay: I got stuck pictures to the end of balloons (4 = 4 years together) and wrote something I love about my husband that related to each picture. I also got him a few odds and ends gifts.
On our anniversay we had to get rid of Tupac :( Since we got him we have been struggling with him "marking" his territory. After his 10th second chance, he decided to mark our new couches! I couldn't take it anymore so we made the hard decision to find him a better home. We took him to a wonderful animal shelter that had high rates in adoptions. It was a very sad day. I spent the day crying because I felt like an awful human to get rid of him. Lincoln got a tracking number from the shelter so that we could look him up on their website. I waited about a week to do so. When I went to look for his number, he was nowhere on their site. I also noticed pets dropped off the same day and days after that were still posted. I have a super good feeling that he was adopted and to a loving family that can give him the attention he needs! He was such a lover and sweetheart. I will forever remember him!
p.s. we still have sweet Nikki! and oh how she has come out of her shell.

We are doing the nursery Dr Seuss theme. So far we have painted and acquired cute plug covers. Once we get the crib we can order the bedding. It is going to turn out so cute and I will post when we finish it. Below is a picture of Lincoln's old dresser that I wanted to paint yellow. It turned out exactly how I wanted! We are waiting on the Dr Seuss knobs to get here and then I will get a changing pad to put on the top. Hoping to get a cover made out of dr seuss fabric.
Here is a picture of the plug covers. We also got a lightswitch cover that matches. I posted the other picture to show the painting process. It took many many layers to cover the dresser to the right color.

Lincoln is still working for the Forest Service. He is playing city league basketball this winter. I'm still working at Guild Mortgage and this week I will start working evenings at H&R Block. It will be a busy schedule but I can't pass up the experience.

I think that covers most things that have happened since last post. I will try and update more often.
