Future Plans

I saw this on pinterest.com and loved it :) I want it to snow, once, so I can make my own! I bet Lincoln would say they were cute. haha he supports me in my random craftiness.

Bring on the Bachelors Degree! I will have my BS in Accounting very very soon. One more week of school and a week of finals. I am unbelievably excited and really proud of myself. I am definitely self motivated and accomplishing this makes me really happy.

The next step...job search and deciding where to live. Two super big steps in life!

We are debating whether to buy a "used" home or purchase a NEW one...Below are a few ideas of house plans that I have been looking at. I took a drafting class in highschool and I really enjoy looking at house plans. I could spend HOURS browsing :) I can't wait to start walking through demo houses. Bring on the Debt haha! If only houses weren't so expensive....

If you have been in my mom's house, you can understand that I would love to have Hickory cabinets....or possibly knotty pine? I believe that is what her pantry door is made out of.

In the above plan I would change to porch to a storage room (similar to my parents).
I really love this above plan. I would get rid of the wall in the laundry room so that the kids could drag laundry straight through instead of walking through the kitchen. I'm loving the closet in the master bedroom and Lincoln would love the den.

I really like this layout also. The snack bar on the corner of the kitchen is fun. I think I would use it as a decoration area....change it according to the season. I would also like to add that I won't have carpet in the dining room....who does that!? Its like having carpet in the bathroom...the mess is just not worth it haha :)

So those are my thoughts towards Lincoln and I's future plans. Nothing is set in stone. I hope that these next few years go smoothly and we all are happy with our decisions.

Almost done with school...& other things

So it has been a while since I have posted. I thought I would jot down some stuff to update.
I believe I posted on my last post that I put my two weeks in. Oh it has been so nice! I think the pros outweighed the cons on this move :) I LOVE having the weekends off! I do miss all my friends from there. We have "girls' nights" planned though.
School is going really well this semester. As far as midterm I was sitting with all A's! Being able to focus totally on school is really nice. I have a few tests, a couple presentations, some assignments, and then finals. After that I will graduate with by Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting. I'm really proud of myself for getting this far and accomplishing something so great. Next step...job searching!
For those that don't know, the Murphy's have the same anniversary as us. So the other night I got to babysit the kiddos while they went on a date. I just love those guys! Such good kids and a piece of cake to babysit. Kaylin is getting so smart and I'm impressed by her every time I talk to her.
It was our 3rd anniversary! Time flies by fast. Being married has been amazing :) You always have someone there to lean on and someone to cuddle with to watch tv. Our next big step in life is moving back to Delta. We have been searching around for a place to either rent or buy. I'm looking forward to being close to both sides of the family and finally actually living with my husband.
Lincoln is heading to Texas again for his job. The pros: study time for the finals. The cons: going to miss him like crazy. I try to be tough when he leaves but sometimes I just wish he was home :) Since I have not been working for a month we both believe that financially it was a good opportunity. I will be done with school when he finally gets home! Crazy! (he was excited haha he hates when I have to study study study) The #1 thing I'm looking forward to.....READING! I will be picking up some novels and enjoying myself :) Does anyone have some good recommendations?

I {heart} Fall

Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year! It is just so pretty. The colors are so gorgeous! and the weather is so nice. Fall weather makes me want to be outside. My favorite scenario is sipping hot chocolate, wrapped in a g-ma quilt and cuddling with my hubby on the front porch! Although I do not have a porch yet, I believe that that scenario would be just lovely :)
This is my view walking onto campus. I really think walking into the business building is one of the most intriguing sights. I wish I had a video of the walk in, this picture doesn't give you the whole feeling.
and the reason i blogged tonight...

How cute are these! Yes, those are acorns made out of nutterbutter minis, butterscotch chips, and almond kisses! I saw this crafty idea in Country Women magazine and decided it would be really simple, so I made them. Super super easy! But oh so fun. and then I had to set them up for a photo shoot :) Just taking a picture of them on a plate was not nearly as cute.

Side note: trimmed my kitties nails today. I was super nervous but since I didn't take them to the vet to get it done, I thought it would be nice of me to help them out. They didn't seem to mind and it was not hard at all.

Other side note: put my two weeks notice in on Saturday. I have had an awesome 5 years at Albertson's/Fresh Market. I spent 21.7% of my life there so it definitely was hard. Afterwards though, I feel really good about my decision and am ready to move forward in my life.

Enjoy your Fall season and share those fun fall crafts so I can try them too :)

Shower Curtain

Just thought I would share this picture with you all...I got a new shower curtain! Yay! and it is super cute. Got it from target and it's cloth instead of plastic. Should hold up to my crazy animals :)

So I saw this on pinterest.com and really wanted to make them. I remember having crayons like this when I was little.
I just used a mini cupcake pan which made little round ones the size of poker chips. They turned out really cool! Lincoln helped me unwrap all the crayons and then we just broke them in pieces by hand. Cook at 230 for 15 minutes...let dry and wha la! you have crayons of many colors. Super easy and fast craft. I will be looking for muffin tins that come in different shapes :)

What did you do now...

the cats were going crazy in the bathroom so I went to go see what they were up to...

I guess it could be worse....it's not my couch! and shower curtains are fairly cheap :)

Feeling Optimistic

I made it through the first week of school! Im taking MGMT 4800 Strategic Management, MGMT 495r Strategic Mgmt Capstone Simulation, ACC 4420 Corporate Tax, ACC 4020 Advanced Financial Acc., and ACC 4110 Auditing. As you can tell by the titles, none of these classes will be easy! I will be studying my a** off this semester...my last semester :)

This morning I woke up, ate breakfast, did some reading and then decided that instead of saying I would love to run, I did it :) Okay so I'm new at this and not really the type that ever exercises so I started small with a 15 minutes walk/run. Right after, I was a bit light-headed but now I feel great and want to get stuff done instead of turn the t.v. on. So I made a few little cards...
I like to make a few when I do make cards, that way when I don't have time to make I can still have a 'home-made' card. These are just the mini ones but work out great for quick gifts or quick thanks.

Now I'm off to make my chapter outline for Tax. Always nice to try and get ahead instead of last minute homework. Later Gators :)

Recording at the Murphy's

Stopped by the Murphy's place the other night and we ended up making videos. Kaylin loved the idea! She is such a little actress :) Her video is of her playing out a part in the Tangled video.

Evan had this really cute laugh going on and I just had to get it on video!

Ashlyn is getting so big and can now walk with her stroller. I'm sure she will be walking soon!

I went school shopping yesterday and had a blast! This last semester I want to dress more business-like. So I have been on the search for chic, elegant, and casual work wear.

I found this LBD on Pinterest.com and loved how she accessorized it.

This is my LBD I found at Gap. The material is just so nice...wish you could all feel the quality. I can wear this dress year-round depending on how I accessorize. Sorry for blurry pics. I take pics in the dressing room and then flip through them to decide what to get :)

I also found two really nice pairs of trousers. I can't even tell you how many trousers I have tried on in the past week, but I finally found some that fit nice at Gap. Gap makes three different lengths (long, regular, ankle) that I am a fan of. Since I'm petite the ankle hit me at the perfect length which means no searching for a good tailor.

Someday I will have a chic power-suit like Lauren Conrad :)

I'm glad I found pieces for my new business style and love not wearing jeans all the time! One thing I did forget to get is shoes...although I do have a few pairs of amazing pumps that will work. I'm sure I will want a few flats though for walking around campus.

So I'm behind with my blogging but finally found an evening to blog. This will be a compile of pictures from a few weeks ago :)

Lincoln has been busy with fighting fires this year so when we have a few minutes together we like to relax and enjoy that little time. A couple days before he left for Texas again we went to the Fillmore canyon. I read my book and Lincoln took a nap on the picnic table. He snapped this photo of me...

I took one of him...
While I was reading, this little guy was stealing cheetos from the fire pit. Ha ha I totally caught him in this picture. He was super cute and fat :)
Then after a boring pic of just sitting there I decided to start jumping off the bench. It was actually really fun and made for some fun pictures.

Becky, Dewey, Kyler, Lincoln, Me, Emilee and Dave all went to Lagoon. We got free lunch thanks to Dick's work. And thanks to his work, we got in free! Yay! It was a blast and I'm really glad we were able to go. This is the only picture I got...all the others are on Dave's camera.

After Lagoon we went to a Real Salt Lake Soccer game. This is the second time I have been and it is really a blast. I like that good seats are not expensive so we are able to sit really close. I hope I learn the players names soon so that it can be even more entertaining :)

Kyler, Dewey, Lincoln, and Me!

Becky and Dick!

The boys in their gear This last weekend I went to Cousin's sleepover and Oak City Days. It was really fun too and exciting to see all the cousins! I will post pics of that later. (most of them are on my mom's camera)

School starts next week! aaah....am I ready for my last semester?! Guess I will have to be!

kitties, swimming, flowers, and some good news!

Our Kitties got spayed and neutered a week ago. They did really good. Nikki just had a little lump where her surgery was done but they both were back to jumping and running around the next day. As soon as the pain meds kicked in though, they slept REALLY well :)

Nikki above....Tupac below
Bobbie and Ryan invited me to come swimming with the twins and Kaylin. I was all for it! I don't make it swimming as often as I would love to, so I said yes right away. (Even bought a new suit for the occasion) We went to a fun pool in Provo that had a deeper pool and a kiddie play pool. Evan and Ash loved the water! Kaylin loved going down the big slides with Ryan!

I tried helping the kids with floating and blowing bubbles. Evan blowed bubbles really well...Ash drank the water...and Kaylin was worried that her face would go underwater, but she did blow bubbles a couple of times :) Evan loved floating on his tummy...Ash would rather be in the floaty...and Kaylin did really well for how nervous she got. I know with some time Kaylin will be floating on her own!

All done swimming!

I went to the Dentist today and when I got home Lincoln had got me some roses! They are from Ecuador and so so so pretty! I will take another pic when they fully bloom.

and for some awesome news...I made it into Beta Alpha Psi! Last semester I didn't qualify but applied again for the fall semester and got the email today that I made it! I have a lot of friends from school that are already in it and also some more that made it in this fall semester with me. I'm really happy for this opportunity and can't wait for the meetings, tutoring, and all the other awesome stuff to jump start my career as an accountant!

The cats and a card

What's a blog post without pics of my brats :) I finally got a picture of Tupac doing the "truck-driver". When we are just hanging out in the evenings, Tupac will go chill in the cat toy and look so cute chillin out. Got this pic the other day...precious babies sleeping!

I pulled out my cardmaking supplies and Nikki decided to help out...play with ribbon :)

This is the card I came up with after getting inspiration from the card on pg. 108 of the new book. I thought I had the butterfly stamp set but then remembered that I had borrowed it from Bobbie and didn't have it anymore. I know that she would have gladly let me borrow it again but I went ahead and just used one that would work.

and I was playing around with the camera on my phone and snapped this pic in negative effect...random....but it looked cool so i will share.

School starts in a month!!!AAAAHHH! I think I'm ready but I just know that it's going to be hard!

I think I need a bigger Kitty bed...

Last weekend fun

Last weekend Lincoln and I went to Transformers 3 at the IMAX theatre in Jordan Commons. It was a really fun experience....IMAX screen, 3D, and a good action movie. We ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse...super yummy. Their rolls are amazing!

gap savings

I had the day off today so Wendy and I decided to go to the mall for something to do...
This is where I stumbled across a SALE at Gap. I had a $10 gift certificate so decided to look around. The sale was 50% off the marked down price. I walked out of there with a summer dress, a skirt, and two tanktops for $37! We took a look at the original price (if I would have bought these items not on sale)---$180. That's a $143 savings!
What a nice day to go to the mall :)

crazy animals

Before I tell you about the kitties, here is what Jerrica and I made the other day. We went to Hobby Lobby--after Emily told me about buying her bows there I decided I wanted to check it out. What a wonderful store! We were looking for some cute summer craft that we could make that afternoon. This was really simple to make; everything was a sticker and then just tie the bow.
Now for the crazy animals! I have noticed I call them animals more often than I call them my babies ha ha! They drive me nuts sometimes...right now I'm counting down the hours till they take their nap :)
While doing some card making I look up to see Tupac exploring. A couple days ago I walked in to find all my ribbon had been unrolled...this day he just wanted to see what was in the little jars.

Lincoln's Grandma Anne bought me this cute little fountain/waterfall thing. I love it! and the cats do too. She wrote on the little card that she thought the cats would think it was neat and they sure did! Every once-in-awhile I will put it on the ground so they can check it out. The vet told me that cats like fresh water and that they even make cat water dishes as these fountain/waterfall things because the cats will drink more water. Tupac drinks from the top really good but Nikki is curious as to where the water is going so she will put her little paw inside and swat the water.

This is what happens when you leave a cup of water sitting on the floor :) You can't do anything without them wanting to get in it.

The saying "curiousity killed the cat" is so very true! I'm finding this to be true more and more every day. We keep our closet doors shut and as soon as we open them, the cats come running. When you open the cupboards in the kitchen, they come running. When you flush the toilet, they come running! aah I can't wait for fat lazy cats that sleep all day :) Until then, I will post pics of all the funny stuff my crazy animals do.

Past Couple of Weekends

I thought I would update on what we have been up to the last couple of weeks. The babies are getting big! They are still kittens but just not as small and fuzzy. ha ha. Nikki got sick about a week ago...took her to the vet, got some fluids and antibiotics. She has been 100% herself ever since. Yay! I was worried. They have a vet appointment tomorrow morning to get their boosters.
My mom asked me to make some graduation cards for her. This is what I made up...

Lincoln got home from Texas after three weeks. I was excited to see him! We went on a shopping spree a couple days after he got home. He needed some new summer clothes and I didn't mind shopping for some clothes too :) This is Lincoln standing in a tunnel thing at the mall. It imitates the winds of a hurricane.

While shopping I asked Lincoln if I could dress him up. ha ha He was a trooper and I got him into Gap clothes! I bought the kahkis...we will see if he wears them but I just loved them ;) This pick is him playing the part. Thanks baby for your humor!

Then this memorial weekend we went to Mesquite! It was so much fun...laying out at the pool, gambling (love the craps tables), bowling, arcades, eating out, chillin in the hotel room. I had so much fun! We haven't had a vacation like that for awhile and we both enjoyed it so much. We will have to save up to go play again.

And I love this pic---Lincoln and Tupac chillin at home.

This summer has been a blast so far (besides the weather) and I can't wait for all our next adventures!
